Based on biological implants rather than hard tech, bioware is generally easier on a person’s Essence, but also more expensive. Bioware does not require Experience to purchase.

Greatly expands the range of materials the user can digest. You can eat virtually any organic matter, from peat to topsoil to cotton clothing. Food poisoning is no longer a problem; concentrated ingested poisons automatically do -1 harm. Reduce Lifestyle costs by 20% with no ill effects (though this may be socially embarrassing if the upper class sees you eating like this…). You no longer suffer harm from the Street/Squatter Lifestyle.

Nephritic Screen (20,000Y)

Aids the kidneys and digestive system in handling toxins and pathogens. Such attacks do -1 harm. The user is also generally in better health than most.

Pathogenic Defense (24,000Y)
Essence Cost: .2
A general upgrade to the immune system. Characters with this will only experience infections if they absolutely go out of their way to acquire them.

Sleep Regulator (20,000Y)
Essence Cost: .2
Modifications to your hypothalamus allow for deeper, more restful sleep and longer periods of wakefulness. You can go comfortably without sleep for up to 48 hours, and when you sleep regularly you only need 3-4 hours to feel fully rested.

Tailored microorganisms in your body help you heal faster. You recover from harm at one step faster than other characters. This also increases your general lifestyle costs, as you have to eat much more with more specific requirements (this system is not compatible with Digestive Expansion). The GM will occasionally inflict additional lifestyle costs on you to account for your food intake.

The muscles of your heart have been artificially enhanced with extra tissue. If the GM ever tells you that you are suffering from fatigue or that your endurance wanes, roll 1d6. On a 4-6, tell him to stuff it and carry on as you will.

Tailored Pheremones (45,000Y)
Essence Cost: .4
Offers +1 forward on attempts to Seduce or Manipulate other (meta)humans within close conversational distance.

Tailored pheremones cannot be detected by normal (meta)human senses, but they can be detected through technological means (gas spectrometers, etc). Many businesses will ban an individual known to have such implants. The benefits of tailored pheremones are immediately negated as soon as they are discovered; just the simple accusation of such capabilities is often enough to get a person shunned or even beaten up.
