Advancement

Experience is not gained by rolling “highlighted stats.” Instead, you mark experience whenever you roll a 6- on any Move except the Harm Moves. Other methods for marking experience (Hx rollover, certain moves) remain unchanged.

The Advancement chart is standardized for all classes. Check off each advancement as it’s purchased. You may only purchase each item once. Note that all five stats have a MAXIMUM rating of +3.

  • +1 Will/Magic
  • +1 Class Move

After taking 5 Advances from the choices above, you may also select from the list below (or take more from the above list):

  • +1 to any one Stat
  • Retire your character to safety and create a new character
  • Create a second character to play (so now you have two active characters)
  • Remove a debility
  • Choose 2 basic moves and advance them
  • Choose 2 basic moves and advance them
  • Choose 2 basic moves and advance them
  • Choose 2 basic moves and advance them
  • Invent your own move or take one move from any list (subject to GM approval)
